At Oologah High School, we are committed to preparing students with the skills and tools necessary for success beyond high school. While the traditional path to graduation spans four years, students who demonstrate exceptional academic and personal responsibility may be eligible to graduate early.
To apply for early graduation, students must meet one or more of the following:
A GPA of 3.5 or higher
An ACT score of 24 or above
Exceptional attendance and disciplinary standing at Oologah High School
Proof of active military enlistment (e.g., DD4 form)
Students must submit an Early Graduation Application at least two semesters prior to their intended early graduation date.
The application includes a meeting with the student, parent/guardian, counselor, and principal.
During the meeting, the student and parent/guardian must:
Clearly state the reason(s) for the early graduation request
Provide a detailed post-graduation plan
The student must collaborate with the counselor and principal to create a plan that ensures all state and Oologah High School graduation requirements are met.
Failure to complete the approved plan will result in the student becoming ineligible for early graduation.
Students who graduate early will not be eligible for many local scholarships, as these often require recipients to be enrolled through May of their senior year.
Early graduates will not be eligible for concurrent enrollment after graduation.
Early graduates may participate in graduation ceremonies and related senior activities.
